Grand Rapids Scale Company has received accreditation to ISO 17025 standards by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and updated several times with a significantly expanded scope.

A2LA accreditation serves as formal recognition that the activities of testing and calibrating equipment by the Grand Rapids Scale Company technicians are performed with adherence to specialized technical standards.
The addition of ISO 17025 accreditation to the Grand Rapids Scale Company Quality System assures technical validity and competence. The scope of the accreditation includes calibration services in mass, force, gauges, testing machines, scales, balances, analytical balances, calipers, torque wrenches and micrometers.
Prior to the accreditation process, Grand Rapids Scale Company completed construction of its environmentally controlled calibration laboratory at 4215 Stafford SW, in Grand Rapids. All four branches are covered under our A2LA certificate.
Grand Rapids Scale Company was the first distributor of weighing and measuring equipment in Michigan to obtain ISO registration in 1996. The addition of A2LA accreditation places Grand Rapids Scale Company as the marketplace leader in the weighing and measuring industry.
